Welcome to Ruwini Jayarathne Jewelry

Hi & Welcome to my little world of treasures!

I am Ruwini Jayarathne, Founder & Designer of RJJ!

It all started in my 20’s with my passion for Gems & wanting to learn more about Gems & how to identify Gems.

I studied Gemology with the Gemological Association of Great Britain & acquired my Fellowship & became a Gemologist.

Whilst my admiration for Gems was leveling up I was also keen on looking at ways to introduce beautiful & uniquely flawed gems & new types of gems to the market & to break the monotony of the Gem studded jewelry designs that were out there for the customers!

That is how RJJ came about!

I started my small jewelry business online back in the 2015 with one piece of jewelry & a big dream to be a successful jewelry brand with my own unique designs with the unique stones I had been learning about & admiring for so long!

Along the way I have garnered a small niche of loyal customers which is my #RJJSQUAD who are also as curious about learning about new gemstones & admiring my unique creations.

I am also curating unique collections for stockists that I work closely with & was honored to have worked with AOD(Academy of Design) & the University of Jayewardenepura as a Guest Lecturer through my Brand.

I was also lucky to be featured in the below Magazines & I truly believe this acknowledgment makes me believe in my dream even more!

One comment I always get is “I was never into Gem Studded Jewelry until I came across your brand & now I am obsessed!”

To have a positive influence over someone who had no interest in a craft is a blessing I feel.

I strive to find unique Gems & create unique designs & work hard each day to create beautiful pieces of jewelry that my customers can cherish for a lifetime!

My journey is a long and a steady one & one that I know will bring me closer to my dream one day of being an internationally recognized brand!
